We'd like a custom shape foam with printed logos. Is this possible?
I am sorry but we do not provide foam printing anymore. We have instead focussed on plain windscreens & Mic Flags and their printing. I can however highly recommend another company who we work closely with for printed windscreens. The company's name is Foam Conversions, and they like us are based here in the UK. The cable from the Connbox touches the end cap. How can I get around this?
The best solution is to have one of our moulded L brackets to lift the Connbox of the modular bar. This will allow more room for the output cables. If you are unsure of how to do this. Please take a look at the video below that we put together to show how to attach an L Bracket with Connbox.   Connbox L Bracket from Rycote on Vimeo.

Whats the difference between the BBG with WindJammer and Modular Windshield kit?
The Modular Kit includes a Modular Suspension with Connbox, a complete basket Modular windshield (covers the mic completely) & removable fur cover Windjammer. This gives you a very versatile solution that can be boomed or hand held, and the industry standard shock mount & windshield combo kit.     The BBG windshield & Windjammer, is a windshield solution only (no suspension), and uses the same windshield structure & material as the Modular, but only covers the front portion of the mic. The rear of the microphone will be exposed to wind buffeting. You’d still need a shock mount, like the INV 7 HG MkIII.   Modular Windshield Kits from Rycote on Vimeo.

I usually fit a foam windgag inside my Rycote but someone said that was a bad idea. Why?
Foam windgags are OK (though not very efficient) by themselves but they work on a different principle to a cavity windshield. Fitting them inside a Rycote makes the basket less effective

At what wind speeds are Softies and Windshields effective?
Wind speed figures are averages over a certain time; whereas, what ruins a recording is the momentary peak that causes a "blast" - and wind can be a fairly steady blow from one direction, or turbulent gusts from everywhere. The criteria for "noise" also vary with use. For music one "putter" of wind could be very annoying, but for a gritty news report in a storm, one only cares if it is intelligible. So, correlating effectiveness with wind speed is all but impossible - but with the right mic, the right user, and the right Rycote successful recordings have been made in full gales.
I'm looking for a windjammer for the Shure MX412 gooseneck lectern microphone.
We don’t have a specific Windjammer listed for the MX412, however the smallest Mini Windjammer should fit for length. As it uses an elasticated cord to hold it in place, it can be double wrapped, and popped in place to hold it securely even through the diameter is small.   Description: Small Mini Windjammer Order Code: 055301 Web Link: www.rycote.com/products/055301
Which Windjammer is suitable for the Soundman OKM II classic binaural (not in ear)?
We unfortunately don’t have a product made specifically for the Soundman OKM ii. However, i’ve just had a test with some of our small windjammers using a pair of inner ear headphones (iPod) put together to try and match the size of the OKM. (i’ve taken and attached a photo to show) The one that fit best: Description: Black Lavalier Windjammer  - pair Order Code: 065501 Web link: www.rycote.com/products/065501
Is there a Windshield for the Audio Technica AT4050?
We don’t have a standard solution for mounting the AT4050 in a blimp style windshield kit. We had previously supplied these for events like the Olympics we did make a special windshield using the S-series windshield components for wind protection (there was not shock-mounting). We can look at making some of these units up as a special.
