Description
This cost-effective windshielding system is tough enough to withstand the harsh conditions of modern day recording, making it a popular choice in the TV industry worldwide. The kit includes a 12cm Softie Windshield, Lyre shock-mount and Pistol-grip, providing a quick and simple solution for wind protection and shock absorption. The Softie Windshield is a slip-on open-cell foam with an integral fur cover, reducing wind noise by up to 40 dB. It comes in a variety of sizes to fit most popular shotgun microphones. Both the acoustic foam and synthetic fur used in the Softie are specially designed and manufactured for this purpose, ensuring excellent wind-noise reduction without affecting high-frequency sound. The foam is also resistant to UV and moisture damage, ensuring the longevity of the product. The Softie Lyre Mount, which comes with a lightweight Pistol Grip handle, uses patented Lyre technology to provide complete isolation against handling and cable-borne noises. The grip securely holds the microphone in place, preventing any slipping or twisting. The Lyres are extremely durable and virtually unbreakable, making them a reliable choice for any recording environment.
